What your child gets up to in our Nursery care

  • Drop off & Handovers
    We pride ourselves on having excellent relationships with our families. Information about meals, nappy changes and sleeps are all uploaded to the Famly, so that parents can have access to this at any time. This way we have more time on handover to discuss what activities the child has been doing that day, how their day has been and talking about their interests and what they have been doing at home.
  • Fun Activities
    At Little Gardners Outdoor Nursery we have lots of facilities indoors and out for children to have endless hours of learning through play. We have creative play with mark making activities using chalks, paints and other mark making resources. Both rooms have role play areas- which change dependent on the children’s interests. We have curiosity areas, construction areas and quiet areas, so children always have a choice in what they play with.
  • Lunch
    An Example of lunches include-
    Pasta Bolognaise, with grated cheese and Carrot and Coconut slice for pudding
    Roast Chicken, with Vegetables and Strawberry Mousse for pudding
    Moroccan Lamb Meatballs with Couscous and Pineapple Upside-Down Cake for pudding
    Mild Thai Chicken Curry with Rice and Carrot Cake for pudding
    Steak Mince Cottage Pie with Peas and Mandarins and Jelly for pudding
  • Sleep Routines
    Whilst at Nursery we endeavour to follow your child’s sleep routine. We have a dedicated sleep room, using cots and sleep mats. Every child has their own sleep box, with their own bedding which is laundered weekly. Learning to sleep at nursery is a concern every parent shares. Please do not worry, we will follow as close as possible your home routine for sleep. Visual checks of the room are carried out every 10 minutes when children are sleeping and there is also a room video monitor.
  • Outdoor Play
    We encourage outdoor play including spending time in our Nature Garden and we have a sandpit, mud kitchen, outdoor toys- bikes, slide, building blocks and encourage the children to plant vegetables and flowers, and use their imagination in natural garden.
  • Tea
    Teas -
    Baked beans on toast with grated cheese followed by gingrebread man and pear
    Marmite, cheese or ham sandwiches with a selection of fruit followed by fromage frais
    Cheese pizza with carrot sticks followed by ice cream
    English muffins with cream cheese and apple followed by flapjack
  • Closing Time
    When you collect your child/children we will give you a short handover of how their day has been and what they have been up to. We will have uploaded meals, nappies, and sleeps for the day on the Famly. We are open 8am - 6pm, Monday to Friday
