Our Story

We are a purpose built Nursery located on the grounds of Marchwood Junior School. We are a nursery that offers both full-time and part-time hours. Our opening hours are 8-6 for 51 weeks of the year. We are a family run business with a wealth of experience.

Our Rooms & Gardens

Little Gardners Outdoor Nursery is a purpose built Nursery which opened in 2013. We are dedicated to delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage whilst also incorporating the Forest School ethos. We are able to immerse the children in learning in the nature in our very own Forest School area which we call our Natural Garden where they are able to explore the natural world around them in all weathers, all year round.

Nursery Room

Children from 9 months learn to explore, be creative and begin to understand the world around them with the help of our Practitioners

Preschool Room

From around 2 and a half, children move up into the preschool room to continue to develop and grow. They learn social skills and develop friendships as well as getting ready for going to school with School Readiness.

Garden

We have two well resourced gardens for the children to run, play and explore. They have a mud kitchen, sandpit and outdoor toys, all of which help to build their development in all of the prime and specific areas in the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.

Natural Garden

In our natural garden children can use their imagination whilst exploring nature. They can risk take in a safe and secure environment, developing their running, jumping and balancing skills.
